Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian musician and singer. Over 20 albums have been released by her. The music of DiFranco is classified as alternative rock, folk rock, but it also has hints from jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is considered to be a symbol for feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first to establish her own label independently. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, her parents Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had been in contact while at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
