ndrea is a rising LPGA Tour star, and her first win at the Portland Classic 2022 was a event to remember. Lee was a winner at every level, including her collegiate golf career during her time at Standford University where she earned nine victories, and was ranked for 17 weeks as #1 Women's Amateur of the World. Lee was awarded the Mark H. McCormack medal in 2019 as the highest-ranked amateur female at the conclusion of the season. The following year, she made the switch to professional. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. She began playing golf as a child at age 5 with the help of her father James. The first tournament she played was at the age of 8 and has won 50 junior championships within a span of four years. She made the cut for the 2014 US Women's Open, held at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad along with her as a caddie. Her sponsors invited her to compete in the 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour. She was however one shot short of the cut. Lee was part of the United States' Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup as well as the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. Lee became Stanford's most famous golfer to ever grace Stanford University in the year 2016 when she received nine titles in the following three years. Lee quit Stanford University and turned pro in 2019. Her amateur playing career included seventeen weeks of the World Amateur Golf Ranking leader. Lee was also awarded the Mark H. McCormack Award in 2019, following her completion of the season at the top of the amateur ranking. Lee was a top amateur with four albatrosses, and four holes-in-1. She had two top-10 finishes during her debut year as a player on the LPGA Tour. She came in seventh at the AIG Women's Open 2020, which was held on Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee took home her first LPGA Tour title at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee dedicated her victory to her grandfather who passed away Min.
