Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the 1960s. In the 1950s, she began her career as an actress on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in numerous Broadway shows before going popular in the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. The same year, She recorded her first album of songs, called It's the Right Time to Tina. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film garnered wide reviews. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. In that time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. She signed on with CBS in 1964, to portray Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career across Broadway TV and Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as opposed to the image of the glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she also has made her mark as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural in addition to The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 29th of August in 1965 the family relocated to Toronto at the age of three. She spent the majority of her youth there, and later her teenage years. Then she settled in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
